As every good Anglican knows, it is important to have someone keeping things in order when we gather to worship: people need to know what to expect when they come along. So we agree with the synagogue leader in this week’s reading from Luke’s gospel when he gets indignant with Jesus for turning a teaching session into a healing circus. Totally out of order! And it’s not as though the sick person was someone of importance.
